Slow down.

Three A-frame cabins hidden in the hills of Văleni. Slow mornings, quiet evenings, food cooked over an open fire.

01 The story

Here, time catches its breath.

High in the Subcarpathian hills below the Bucegi range, where the road narrows and the phone signal fades among the firs, three black steel cabins stand facing the valley, their backs to the forest.

We built them for the evenings when there is nothing to do but watch the fire. For mornings with no alarm. For the people you love, gathered around one long table.

TAIGA is the name of the great boreal forest, the belt of fir and spruce that wraps the north of the world. We cut it into the steel gate with a laser: a mountain ridge and a line of pines, with light passing through at every sunset. Everything begins there.

02 The walk

An evening at TAIGA

We drop into the valley at dusk and climb to the top of the cabin, where the window fills with stars. Scroll, slowly.

The valley

Three black silhouettes on the crest of the hill, backs to the forest, faces to the sunset.

The path

A limestone path cuts through the grass and leads you to the first door.

The threshold

The glass door opens and the warmth inside comes out to meet you.

The blond-wood living room, a kitchen corner and the tall glass-gable window.
The living room

Blond wood, a kitchen corner, an armchair turned toward a window as tall as the wall.

A quiet bathroom with a walk-in shower, black fixtures and warm limestone.
At the back

Behind the cabin, a quiet bathroom with a walk-in shower and warm stone underfoot.

Up the stairs

The staircase climbs against the sloping wall, toward the loft in the apex of the triangle.

The bedroom

Up here, under the eaves, the bed faces the tall window that opens onto the hill.

Dusk settles

The light fades, the glass turns warm and the hill dissolves slowly into blue.

The sky

When it is fully dark, the window fills with stars. The Văleni sky.

03 The cabins

Three cabins, three kinds of light.

The same cabin, the same comfort in each. You tell them apart only by the light, by where they stand on the hill, and by what you see through the window.

05 The hearth

The evening begins at the fire.

Here the food does not come from a freezer. The soup simmers in a cast-iron cauldron, bread and roast bake in the brick oven, and the pălincă comes from the smallholders in the village.

The eggs, milk and meat come from the homestead beside the cabins, from the animals grazing on the hill. You know exactly what is on your plate, because it grew a few steps from where you sit.

06 Retreat

Transform in Nature

Train in clean air, eat from the homestead, and sleep like you have not slept in a long time. The body changes when you take it out of the city and bring it to the mountain.

An official programme, in partnership with Mangiu , founder of the Wolf Pack community.

Why it works

Effort at sunrise, a hot sauna, a cold plunge tub, mountain air and sleep without screens. Nothing complicated: only the things that truly move the needle, done day after day.

07 The mountain

Close to everything, far from the noise.

You are less than two hours from Bucharest and about an hour from Bran. Close enough to reach easily, far enough that no one will find you.
