Privacy policy
At TAIGA we keep things simple. We only ask for the details we need to reply to your booking request, nothing more. Below is exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

1. Who we are
The controller of your data is TAIGA Retreat, at Str. Plopiș nr. 903, Comuna Văleni-Dâmbovița, Dâmbovița 137500, România. You can write to us any time at office@taigaretreat.com or call us on +40 787 554 776.
2. What we collect
When you fill in the booking form, you send us: your name, a phone number (ideally with WhatsApp), your stay details (arrival, departure, the kind of stay you are after, the cabin and the number of guests) and, if you wish, an email address and a message. We do not ask for card details: a booking is a request, with no online payment.
3. Why we use it
We use this data for one thing only: to reply to your request and prepare your booking. In legal terms, these are pre-contractual steps taken at your request, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not send you marketing messages unless you give us separate, explicit consent.
4. Where we keep it
Requests land in a secure database (Cloudflare D1), hosted on infrastructure within the European Union. Only your hosts at TAIGA can see them.
5. Who we share it with
No one, for marketing or advertising. We do not sell or rent your data. It is processed on our behalf, strictly for technical delivery, only by the provider that hosts the site and the database (Cloudflare).
6. How long we keep it
We keep it only as long as we need to handle your request and, if you come to stay, your booking. After that we delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we do.
7. Cookies
In this version of the site we use no tracking cookies and no traffic analytics. We store a single technical flag in your browser so we do not replay the intro animation on every visit. It does not identify you and does not track what you do.
8. Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Just write to us at office@taigaretreat.com and we will sort it out. If you feel we have not respected these rights, you may contact the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), dataprotection.ro.
9. Changes
If we change anything significant in how we handle data, we update this page and the date above.
